Have you noticed that about once a quarter your Facebook and Instagram feeds are bombarded with ads featuring veterans from the show The Bachelor raving about how much they love their Fab Fit Fun box? You can’t get away! For months and months I resisted. While I appreciate the industriousness of their partnership, since they were all doing it, I couldn’t really take them seriously. I had no clue if it was a great deal or a waste of money. I searched for a review a few times, but couldn’t find what I was looking for. I have never been a fitness clothing snob. I will buy any brand, provided that the items I’m purchasing accomplish three things: I like the feel of the fabric, I can accomplish my workout, and the price works with my budget. Recently, however, a few family members have transitioned to a plant-based diet for health reasons. Since we know Instagram has the microphone on on our phones all the time, I was not surprised when a vegan-friendly food service popped up on my feed: Hungry Root. Two weeks ago we were spending some time with our cousin Amanda when she mentioned her love of The 10 Day Green Smoothie Cleanse. I have done a cleanse or two before, but never something this hardcore. 10 days? That is a significant commitment. I had been eating all the food lately, though, and I do always love a good challenge for both my mind and my body. Why not? I thought. I even convinced my dear husband to do it with me. Fortunately, his boss, whom he admires greatly, is a big fan of juicing so it didn’t take much pressure. Below is my comprehensive review. The good, the bad, the green.
